WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The Standard of God Mission International was founded by Rev. Louis .M. Ewanbor with the support of his wife, daughter and a few faithful members. The church started as a fellowship on the 14th of August 2014. The brethren devoted themselves to prayer, Bible studies and evangelism until SGMI was officially registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organization and inaugurated on the 5th of June 2017 in the United Kingdom.
The Standard of God Mission International (SGMI) is a global ministry mandated to preach and teach the undiluted word of God to the world (Matt 28:18-20). At SGMI, we raise kingdom candidates into dynamic and scripturally sound leaders. We are passionate about family and communities; and hence we welcome all who come, to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior. We do not discriminate based on ethnic backgrounds, race, creed, colour or socio-economic status.

To share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to bring believers into maturity in the faith through systematic teachings of sound doctrines.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

To share the word and enforce God's standards concerning believers' healing, health, family, spiritual and career development through the ministry of the holy spirit.

PREPARE

To share the undiluted word to prepare a disciplined, Christ-centred, Holy Spirit-led generation in readiness for the second coming of Christ.

LEADERS

To raise responsible leaders for the ministry and communities; to be able to impact spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially.

RESOURCES

To share material and educational resources with partners toward the promotion of the Church’s global mandate in Africa and other parts of the world.

We exist to preach and teach the undiluted word of God to our communities and the world. We are mandated to raise generations of kings and queens filled and led by the Holy Spirit to impact future generations.

OUR CHURCH TENETS

The Holy Bible is infallible, inerrant, the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. We also believe in the divine inspirations of the Holy Scriptures.
(2 Tim. 3:16).

There is one true universal Church made up of genuine believers in many local churches under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Acts 15:22; Matt 6:18; 18:15-20).

In the Spirit-filled life - a life of separation from the world arid perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as expressing the true Christian faith.
(Eph. 5:18; 2 Cor. 6:14).

In the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matt 28:19: Acts 2:34 -36, 19: 1-6).

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a real experience at or subsequent to salvation with the scriptural evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

In the operation of the “Gifts of the Spirit” as manifested in the Early Church.

In eternal life for believers and eternal punishment in the lake of fire for unbelievers.

We believe in tithing and in the giving of freewill offerings towards the cause of carrying forward the Kingdom of God. We believe that God blesses a cheerful giver.
(Malachi 3:10; Hebrews 7:1; Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35).
